This year was no easier than the previous one. In July, as a certified partner of Kopano, we celebrated a small anniversary. We have been helping our business partners in the field of groupware solutions for 5 years. We have started working with ComAp a.s. www.comap-control.com to help them create a new Solution Architecture organisational discipline within their R&D department. ComAp is a leader in engine controllers, controller displays and switchgear protection devices, and as a growing company it has been increasingly facing problems in technical coordination that such growth can bring. It has therefore recognised the need to develop an in-house architectural competency, which is an area that we have many years of experience with. A very unusual and difficult year is coming to an end. 2020 was in many ways different and more demanding than any previous one. Although it sometimes seems that there has been only one topic for a long time, this is not the case. We are very happy that it is in these difficult times that it is shown how many great people there are still around us and we are grateful for that. Recently, the number of DDoS attacks on the corporate infrastructure has risen sharply again. We are very happy that the whole world is starting to return to normal life and that we have managed the difficult period of the coronavirus pandemic very well in the Czech Republic. Currently, one major issue that is crucial for society as a whole is the situation associated with the spread of coronavirus. In accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of Constitutional Act No. 110/1998 Coll., On the Security of the Czech Republic, the Government of the Czech Republic declared a state of emergency for the territory of the Czech Republic due to a health threat in connection with proving the occurrence of coronavirus in the Czech Republic on 12 March 2020 . This pandemic has brought about a situation that not only the Czech Republic, but in fact the whole world has not seen. The whole situation is complicated, in many ways challenging, but we believe that we will certainly be able to handle it, and in the end we will all come out of it, perhaps even stronger and more humble than we have been so far. Our services are always available to you, of course in accordance with government regulations and to the extent that the current state allows. We believe that this month will be crucial for further development and that the whole situation will start to improve. We wish everyone good health, patience and physical and mental endurance at this time. Let’s hope that the next update will be about how we successfully managed this pandemic and return to normal life. This year we see a significant increase in demand for solutions that brings high cost savings. One of these areas is the solution and management of enterprise infrastructure with a focus on availability, security and simple management. In the area of business information systems, we have established close cooperation with IF System Helios s.r.o., which supplies and implements Helios ERP. It is an ERP that excels in user comfort, a large programming community and the ability to adapt to customers exactly according to their needs. Currently, in the Czech Republic alone, almost 20,000 customers use some of the Helios ERP versions. This cooperation brings our existing and potential customers additional added value in the form of the possibility of a comprehensive ICT solution, including the operation and development of a corporate information system.

The school holiday period is usually perceived by students as the most pleasant time of the year, when worries, duties and stress decreases. This holiday season has again seen an increased intensity of various hacker attacks in the corporate environment. In recent months, the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is being increasingly discussed. This is a general regulation on personal data protection within the EU, which was adopted in April 2016 and will enter into force on 25 May 2018. It is a new legal framework for the protection of personal data in Europe in order to protect as many EU citizens as possible against unauthorized treatment of their data and personal information. GDPR applies to all businesses and institutions, but also to individuals and online services that process user data. Infringements of the GDPR rules puts businesses and individuals at risk of substantial penalties and therefore there is a need to be prepared in advance.
